Karen Langtree was born in Newcastle, but now lives near York with her husband Ian and children, Rachael and Jack. Karen of course loves reading and writing stories, but also enjoys singing, sleeping, writing songs, playing the piano and eating crisps, chocolate and indian food!
Karen started writing stories when she was a child and at the age of 10 was runner-up in a WHSmith competition with a story about Betty Bubble being rescued from the evil Percival Plughole!
As well as being a writer, Karen is also a primary school teacher, but before all you children out there start booing, we promise she’s a fun teacher!
Karen’s books include My Wicked Stepmother and the Fairy Rescuers books.
