Comedy helped Sam turn his life around after years of drug addiction, rehab and detention centres. Now, he is able to use his experience in Orchard Park as material for his act. He left Hull in 1997 to do a diploma in performing arts and now lives in Birkenhead. He became a classically trained actor but turned to comedy in 2006.
